Dolphin Initiative by young naturalist in Mumbai gathers momentum

Kartik Shah, a young naturalist from Mumbai, India, has been raising awareness for dolphin conservation at schools in and around Mumbai, displaying the kind of grassroots activism that is essential for conservation to be successful.

He, and friends helping him in his mission, visit schools, showing movies, motivating kids to become interested in and active for dolphin conservation, e.g. by spreading the word to their families and friends, writing essays or drawing pictures on the topic.
He also informs them on the various threats faced by dolphins and the deterioration of dolphin habitat.

Below, we have posted three of the essays written by schoolchildren, and in our "virtual sea", there is a number of pictures kids drew or painted.
Towards the end of this excellent campaign, we will follow up with a more detailed report on Mr. Shah's story.
